Description |
Philadelphia Classical drop-leaf pedestal table. Rectangular overhanging top, hinged with boldly scalloped shallow drop-leaves which are raised on hinged swing-supports flanking a cockbeaded frieze drawer, with brass pull at each end above cockbeaded edge moldings and protruding corners suspended with stepped ring drops. These rest on an urn-form pedestal raised on molded sabre legs ending in brass paw-feet. (Murphy D. Smith, "Due Reverence," 1992). |
