Miniature bust of Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon. The bust is cast in bronze in two pieces. "BUFFON" is stamped in block letters on the side of the circular base. There are no identifying maker’s marks. This object is similar to another miniature bust in the APS collection (01.C.58) marked "CUVIER".

Pair of brass pendants with profile portraits of Louis XVI (b) and Marie Antoinette (a). Portraits are in oval frames adorned by leaves and berries along the top perimeter. Large bows at top are attached to metal loops. Hooks with wings are attached to the bottom of the portrait oval.

Large copper alloy relief with gold-colored finish depicting a group of men surrounding a table with documents, Benjamin Franklin seated at right. Commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Paris. Signed and inscribed on lower left corner: "Frederic Brou 1906" and "I Hess & Fils Fondeurs." Possibly a copy of c. 1897 original by artist, cast for the statue of Benjamin Franklin presented to Paris 27 April 1906.

Walnut box contains 397 brass stencils, including four decorative borders and one "Mr. Franklin" name plate. Also included in the box are ten stencils unoriginal to the set. A wooden block with black chalk and three additional pieces of colored chalk were discovered in a side-drawer of the box. The box is marked Marked "BERY/ Faiseur de Caracteres,/ En Cuivre & en aci[e]r. Fait/ Toutes Sortes de Vi[gn]ettes/ Demeure Sur Le Pont Notre Dame/ du même Côté & Près la Pompe/ A Paris" on the interior of the lid.

Represents Franklin's reception by the King of France, Louis XVI. Cast copper alloy relief with gold-toned surface; possibly bright dipped or fire gilded. Benjamin Franklin appears in the center of this painting, standing on the second blue step leading to the red, richly-curtained dais, within an ornately-paneled room. He gestures to a document with his right hand. Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette face him, seated in their thrones on the dais. These central figures are surrounded by whispering French courtiers and American commissioners, which include the Cardinal de Rohan, the Comte de Vergennes, Pierre Beaumarchais, Silas Deane, and Arthur Lee. Unsigned and undated.
